The Garage Museum of Modern Art was founded in 2008 by Russian designer Daria Zhukova and billionaire Roman Abramovich. Initially, the museum was located in the building of a bus garage, which is why it got its name. At the moment, the museum occupies a solid building of a former restaurant in the heart of Gorky Park.

The museum is the fifth most visited museum in Moscow. Last year, more than 800 thousand people visited it.

The museum is constantly updated exposition. The museum is actively exhibiting. In recent years, the museum has implemented more than 100 different projects.

The Garage Museum has a store where you can find a huge number of souvenirs: from interesting books to small icons. Everyone will be able to choose something to their liking.


How to get there:

The garage is located in the center of Gorky Park. Therefore, the most convenient route is the path from the Oktyabrskaya station to the orange or metro ring line. If you are lucky enough to be in the capital in the summer, then you can get to the museum by landing on the waterfront of the park from the river tram.


Working hours:

The museum is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00.

Ticket offices close 30 minutes before the end of the Museum.


Tickets and prices:
Standard tickets give access to the main exhibitions and will cost you 300 rubles per adult, 150 rubles per student (upon presentation of the document) and 100 rubles per student (under 18 years old).

Children under 10 years of age, pensioners, large families, visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person, veterans, museum employees are free of charge upon presentation of documents.
