Performance «Audio-Element»
The story is told through songs or poems set to music.
1. A plot, story, idea from any direction is selected: drama, comedy, science fiction, philosophy, etc.
2. The melodies-backing tracks are selected, which will become the basis of the performance. If the director considers it necessary and there are no problems with copyright infringement, you can use a fully or partially finished song with the original lyrics and the voice of the performer (or an arrangement, or a cover version). Or contact a composer who will help with writing an original soundtrack or creating a cover version.
3. The text of the poems is written to the music based on the chosen plot. Or the poems are rewritten from the songs whose music will be included in the performance. If there is a composer, it is possible to write the music to the poems. It is important to remember that the combined poems and music do not have to be a song at all! Poems are for the work of the mind, and music and sounds are for interaction with emotions.
4. The story is told entirely in a musical style. There are no restrictions on musical genres. The play may feature melodies of various styles and trends: pop, rock, rap, religious, bard and any other genre may be or become a feature of the character played by the actor.
5. Verbal pauses between melodies are allowed for changing characters, silent movement of actors and props, manifestation of special effects (full or partial switching off of lights, noises, sounds, screams and bright emotions). Melodies can also fill time gaps when actors need a break or preparation for the next scene-action.
6. The presence of dancing is not a mandatory element and may be absent altogether. The dance may be in pairs, in a group or even individually, a random impromptu in the interior of the scenery, when the body of the hero acts as the language of the narrative (for example, the torments of creativity, joy or grief, etc.), and the actions of the actor should evoke an emotional response from the viewer.
7. The performance is not a musical or an operetta! Singing is not necessary at all! There is no need to follow the rules and musical canons. This is a story in verse or a performance in poetic form, accompanied by music from beginning to end: songs, poems with music or actions without words at all with only music.
8. If a piece of performance is performed without words and only music is heard, it is assumed that the language of the narrative is the actions (or inaction) of the actors.
9. As one of the production options, a theatrical performance of a ready-made poem can be considered. Even "blank" verse without rhyme can be read sonorously and touchingly.
