Welcome to Phase II 💪 The foundation is built — now we drill each skill to automatic. Today is the highest-leverage day in Reading: Complete the Words is the routing task that unlocks the hard module and protects your entire Reading band.

You already did Set 1 on Day 5 — today you work through fresh, harder sets (longer paragraphs, a built-in 20-minute timer):

After every paragraph, classify each miss so you know exactly what to fix:
🟢 Band 4→5 Prioritise grammar misses — singular/plural and tense endings (-s, -ed, -ing) — and always read to the end of the sentence before typing.
🔵 Band 5→6 Prioritise morphology — the exact form (analyse → analysis → analytical) and academic suffixes (-tion, -ment, -ity, -ance).
📚 Step 4 — Daily vocabulary
Add 10 new academic words + review yesterday's with spaced repetition (see the Vocabulary System guide). This feeds Complete the Words directly.
💡 Pro Tips
- Context first, letters second. The words after a blank often reveal the form you need.
- One miss ≠ one lesson. About 8 careless misses across the section caps you at Band 4 — treat every blank as score-critical.
- Speed is a trained skill. Re-drill the same paragraph until 90 seconds feels easy; automaticity is the target.
- Build word families daily (develop → development, developer, undeveloped) — the routing module rewards forms, not just meanings.
