Trolleybus driver and Instagram stranger that made my day

How often do you see complete strangers giving you thumbs and smiling while you are on the run? Or a complete stranger, perhaps he is not stranger anymore, from Instagram PM you just to let you know they get so much motivation from the content you upload.

Well, today when I got out for a run and in about 4th km a trolleybus driver started waving and then giving me thumbs up with a smile afterwards. I waved him back and even shouted "Раҳмат!" ("Thank you!" in Tajik). I don't know why the driver gave a thumbs up or even smiled but a sense of being grateful for positive gesture sure was guaranteed for the rest of the day.

Yesterday, a complete stranger sent me direct message thanking me for uploading personal motivational content on Instagram. He wrote that he has been following me for quite time (though later I checked, he wasn't on the follower list) and that he wanted to start running and was thinking to create similar content. I replied to him and we started messaging back and forth. Now, even if I don't his name, he is not a stranger anymore. More importantly, I look forward seeing him use social media more for content creation rather than content consumption.

Last two days, two positive moments I can reflect to. It is interesting how our actions impact others in ways we can never imagine or thought it would reach someone completely unknown.
