Museum named after Kasteyev

Good afternoon, my dear reader. Today I will write about a place that has lost its popularity — a museum. A museum is a place where art monuments, scientific collections, sculptures, and objects representing the historical heritage are stored and exhibited.

In our city, by the address: Koktem-3 district, 22/1, there is a museum named Abilkhan Kasteyev, a watercolourist, folk painter, artist of the Kazakh SSR, “father” of Kazakh art. “Sea” by Ivan Aivazovsky, “Portrait of V. V. Bitner” by Ilya Repin, “Kyrgyzyan boy” by Pavel Kuznetsov, and other works were exhibited in this museum. The largest collection in the museum is art from the period of the Soviet Union. This collection has works of Rembrandt, Dürer, Schongauer, and other famous artists.

A visit to the museum has a positive effect on a person's development and gives him the opportunity to see the past through the centuries. The more often we will visit museums, the more we know about the history of mankind.
