STON.fi vs DeDust
Hi guys, today in this article, based on my experience and facts, I will choose the best DEX between STON.fi and DeDust.io
STON.fi is a decentralized automated market maker (AMM) built on the TON blockchain providing virtually zero fees, low slippage, an extremely easy interface, and direct integration with TON wallets
DeDust.io is a platform designed to be the central DeFi hub for TON users. With its user-friendly interface, extensive integrations, and robust DeDust Protocol at its core, both beginners and seasoned DeFi enthusiasts can seamlessly access and benefit from TON ecosystem
First, let’s look at the interfaces of the two decentralized exchanges. When I first got acquainted with the world of cryptocurrencies and started to study everything, I used STON.fi because, as a beginner, it has a straightforward and clear interface
On the other hand, DeDust.io is more focused on multi-chain and is more suitable for experienced traders
We will also take into account cryptocurrency swaps. I more often exchange cryptocurrencies in the TON network for STON.fi, because if we compare the fees between STON.fi and DeDust.io, then from my experience, I will say that it will be faster and more profitable to make a swap on STON.fi with a lower fee than on DeDust.io
Now let’s discuss staking. Yields on STON.fi are stable but less competitive as the platform is focused on a limited set of assets. On DeDust.io, due to the multifunctionality and the ability to choose different pools, the yield can be higher. But let’s not forget about the risks. Risks on STON.fi are minimized due to the limited number of assets and the stability of the TON ecosystem. While the risks on DeDust.io are higher, this is due to participation in pharming and liquid pools due to possible slippage (impermanent loss) and asset volatility
Speaking of integrations, both DEXes have integrations with the most popular wallets on the TON network (Tonkeeper, TON Wallet). Also, STON.fi interacts with TON Jettons, so there is a simple integration with new projects released by Jettons. While DeDust.io is focusing on TON, its architecture provides for the possibility of future expansion of integrations to other blockchains through bridges. This will allow connecting TON with popular networks such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, etc.
I think we can now move on to comparing on-chain analysis. If we compare the trading volume, you can see the trading volume on these two DEXes at this link https://defillama.com/dexs/chains/ton
As you can see in the screenshot above, the trading volume for 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days on STON.fi is higher than on DeDust.io. Let’s also take into account TVL (Total Value Locked). On STON.fi, TVL is 145.21m and on DeDust.io it is 85.88m, as you can see the difference is almost 2 times
Also, if you follow this link https://dexscreener.com/ton/stonfi, you can see the number of available tokens in the TON network on both DEXes.
As you can see, there are currently 671 tokens available on STON.fi, and if you go to the DeDust tab, you can see that there are 607 tokens available. The difference is not great, but still…
Conclusion: if you are a beginner and often use the TON network, or if you are not a beginner but just like simplicity, then I advise you to choose STON.fi, which also has lower fees and lower risks. DeDust.io offers a wider range of integrations and features for those who plan to expand their operations beyond TON
