If you want to change the password of protonmail then go into the login page and click on the need help button and then u will be led on to a page where you have to click on change password button on the decrypt mailbox then click on the “reset password” button that will lead to a page where you have to enter the username and the recovery email id which is basically a back up id that helps you in such cases where you might have forgotten your mail.

Once you understand that this step is permanent please enter the word “DANGER” with capital letters and click on the “Reset” button. The process is complete and simple thus the password has been changed. Your new password is registered.
