Security giant Entrust hit by LockBit ransomware group
The notorious LockBit hacker group has claimed responsibility for the June ransomware attack on digital security giant Entrust.
Entrust is a cybersecurity firm focused on online trust and identity management, offering a wide range of services, including encrypted communications, secure digital payments, and ID issuance solutions.
This summer, Entrust confirmed that it has been hit by a ransomware attack where hackers breached their IT systems and stole data from internal networks.
On Aug 18, cybersecurity researchers reported that LockBit had created a dedicated data leak page for Entrust on their website, stating that they would publish all of the stolen data tomorrow evening.
As LockBit states that they will publish all stolen data, it indicates that Entrust has not negotiated with the ransomware operation or refuses to give in to their demands.
The other day, one of the largest platforms for trading CS:GO skins CS.MONEY has taken its website offline after a hacker attack allowed threat actors to loot 20,000 items worth nearly $6,000,000.
