Conti hacked Peru MOF, 9.41 GB stolen
The Conti ransomware group added Dirección General de Inteligencia (the Peru MOF) to the list of its victims on its leak site.
The website of the Peru MOF is not reachable now.
The National Directorate of Intelligence is the premier intelligence agency in Peru. The agency is responsible for national, military and police intelligence, as well as counterintelligence.
The ransomware operation claimed to have stolen 9.41 GB of data.
Unfortunately, a cyberattack against an intelligence agency could lead to the disclosure of secret and confidential documents and pose a risk to national security.
The other day, Ukrainian hackers disrupted alcohol shipments in Russia after committing distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks against a critical online portal.
