Binary Options Strategy on Pocket Option: MACD Profitunity

There are many strategies for binary options, but most require MetaTrader 4, which isn’t always convenient when trading directly on the broker’s platform. However, some strategies use the standard set of indicators available on Pocket Option.

One such strategy is MACD Profitunity, which combines three effective technical indicators: MACD, Awesome Oscillator (AO), and Fractals. This strategy is universal, suitable for any asset on Pocket Option, and by filtering signals and following the trading rules, it helps minimize risks while potentially increasing profits.

Adding and Setting Up Indicators

How to Add Indicators on Pocket Option

  1. Open the indicators panel on the chart.
  2. Select the indicators needed for this strategy: MACD, Awesome Oscillator, Fractals.

Important: Each indicator works differently:

  • MACD and AO can be customized
  • Fractals use a predefined template; settings cannot be changed

MACD Indicator

MACD helps determine the trend direction. In this strategy, the main signal comes from signal line crossings:

  • Uptrend: histogram above signal lines
  • Downtrend: histogram below signal lines

MACD Settings:

  • Fast EMA: 34
  • Slow EMA: 89
  • Signal line: 9

Awesome Oscillator (AO)

AO is used to find entry points using patterns:

  1. Zero-line crossing — simple pattern, signals an option trade.
  2. Saucer pattern — more complex, formed by three consecutive bars:
    • Bar 1 higher than Bar 2
    • Bar 3 highest
    • Above zero line → Call
    • Below zero line → Put

AO Settings: default “5” and “34”

Fractals Indicator

Fractals show price breakouts and help confirm trade signals. There are no settings — just add it to the chart.

Important: Use Fractals only after AO patterns appear.

Trading Rules for MACD Profitunity

A trade signal forms when all the following conditions are met:

  1. MACD is above/below signal lines
  2. AO forms a pattern (zero-line crossing or Saucer)
  3. Price breaks the previous fractal up/down

Timeframes: any
Expiration: max 5 candles

Option Entry

  • Call: MACD above signal lines, AO signal above zero, price breaks fractal upward
  • Put: MACD below signal lines, AO signal below zero, price breaks fractal downward

Tip for beginners: Use only the zero-line crossing on AO, as the Saucer pattern is more complex and may give false signals.

Conclusion

The MACD Profitunity strategy is convenient for trading on Pocket Option, universal, and simple enough for beginners. It helps filter signals, follow the trend, and increase profit potential.

Before trading with real funds, practice on a demo account and follow proper risk and money management rules to protect your deposit.
