Hi! Today I will tell you about the city of Kizilyurt.
On October 19, 1831, during the Caucasian War, Russian troops stormed the fortified village of Chir-yurt.

In 1886, the area of Nizhny Chiryurt in the Dagestan region was occupied by residents from the Samara province, who started farming there.

In 1927, the village of Krasny was separated from the village of Novo-Alexandrovka (in the same year the name was clarified in the form of Dogwood-Yurt), which became part of the Sultan-Yangi-Yurt Village Council of the Makhach-Kalinsky district.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Dagestan ASSR of April 19, 1960, the village of Kizil-Yurt of the Kizil-Yurt district was classified as a workers ' settlement, but saved its former name.

In 1963, Kizilyurt became a city.

The population is small and have always been. One of the main enterprises of the city is Chiryurt hydroelectrostation. This hydroelectric power station is located on the Sulak River and is part of the Sulak hydroelectric power station group.

The Caucasus highway (P217) passes through this city

This highway runs from the Krasnodar Territory to the border with Azerbaijan. I would like to say - the city looks like Kirovo-Chepetsk, but somewhere it is even better than it;
