If you die

Randy takes a deep breath as he looks around Little Seoul. Blood everywhere, bullets on the ground, a car that almost looks like a strainer, his car, after they thought taking cover behind it was a good idea. He was lucky enough to only have a few scratches and bruises, however, some of the boys weren’t as lucky.

Pillbox was probably very busy right now.

The gang wars were getting out of control and even when they had the winning hand this round, that didn’t mean that couldn’t change in the future. They had been at it for hours before they took down most members of the rival gang.

It was a bloodbath.

And they would be back. Randy was sure of it. There was no way they would leave it as it is.

“At least they’ll need some time to recover.” Mr. K says, sighing at the scene. “We have to keep our eyes open.”

“They know what they’re getting themselves into…” Randy scoffs, his accent thickening with his anger. “One of them tried really hard to target me. Look at my fucking car.”

“He didn’t though.” Mr. K pats his arm as he walks away. He still has a lot to do.

Ramee then approaches, shoving his phone into his pocket with a sigh. He also has a few bruises, but he’s fine, mostly.

“Who was that?” Randy asks.

“Uhh…” Ramee looks away. “April, she’s at UWU, luckily… away from this mess.”

Randy nods. That’s the one thing he’s thankful for.

At least she wasn’t there.

He doesn’t know what he would’ve done.

The sound of a car entering breaks their conversation and, as if it was magic, the one person he was thinking about jumps out of the car, still in motion. She has a hammer in one hand and by her frown, Randy can tell she’s pissed.

“What the-”

“Who? How? Why? When?” Ray runs over to them, waving her hammer. “What happened? Why did no one call me?”

“We-” Ramee starts, but he gets interrupted as well.

“Are you guys okay?!” She turns to Randy, scanning his body with her eyes and shaky hands, looking for signs of injury. Her small hands have a deadly grip on him. Kind of adorable, if you asked him. “Who was shooting at you? Who did it? Hmm?”

“Who the fuck told you?” Randy raises an eyebrow.

Ray blinks. “Ramee did.”

Randy turns to Ramee, who immediately looks for the nearest exit. Talking to April, huh?

Roight.

“Who did it? I’m gonna whack them!” Ray keeps spitting out threats at the world, while also asking him over and over if he’s okay. Randy then realizes her frown is not because she’s pissed about missing the war. She’s upset on his behalf.

Worried about him, even.

Every emotion was so clear in her eyes, he could almost hear her heart pounding.

For him.

Without really stopping to analyze what he’s doing, Randy grabs her wrists, pulling her closer and into his arms. Tightening the grip when she tries to break free.

“Relax, okay?” He sighs, resting his chin on the top of her head. He’s fighting back a smile so hard, and he’s losing miserably. “I’m fine. We’re all alive.”

Ray takes a deep breath. She tries to push him away. She still has a lot to say. However, she eventually stops fighting back, letting him embrace her. Leaning against him a bit. “You didn’t call me.”

“I figured it’d be best.”

“Are you really okay?”

“Positive.”

Silence.

“Good, because if you die, Randy Bullet, I’ll kill you.”

Randy laughs. “You have no idea.”

And she really didn’t.
