Migration Trends Report released
A new report Australia’s Migration Trends 2012-13 has been released by DIBP. The report provides a broad range of information on migration, countries of origin, citizenship grants and the international student visa programme.
2013 -14 information includes:
207,900 migrants settled permanently in Australia, up 7.7%
126,350 Subclass 457 visas were granted
60,185 family stream visas were granted
20,019 visas were granted under the Humanitarian stream
The international student visa grants were the highest since the GFC
Tourist numbers from China increased by 25% during the year.
