Senior Backend Developer (Python)

Location: Remote from any place in the world; a time zone not too far from Europe is a major plus. Headquarters: Łódź, Poland.

Salary: 2,000–26,000 PLN net + VAT on a B2B contract for people based in Poland, adjusted according to experience and location.

IndieBI is a startup building a business intelligence and sales analytics platform for PC and console game developers and publishers.

Build and maintain typed, asynchronous FastAPI services with PostgreSQL and MSSQL using SQLAlchemy and Alembic.
Extend digital storefront integrations and diagnose API and authentication changes.
Develop scheduled data jobs for scraping, backfilling, and reconciling pricing and discount data.
Deploy and operate services through GitLab CI and Kubernetes on Azure AKS.
Work with Azure identity, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and messaging services.
Resolve production issues and collaborate with internal teams on features for internal tools.

Strong Python skills, including type hints, Pydantic v2, async/await, SQLAlchemy, and relational databases.
Production experience with FastAPI or an equivalent modern Python web framework.
Solid Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
Working knowledge of Azure, including service principals, secrets, storage, or Service Bus.
Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, linters, type checking, and automated testing.
Fluent English, written and spoken.

Terraform or Terragrunt, networking and security, and data-pipeline orchestration.
Large-scale web scraping with Playwright, headless browsers, proxies, and anti-bot systems.
Observability with Elastic/Kibana, Sentry, APM, or similar tools.
Vue 3 and TypeScript frontend experience.
Game development industry experience and knowledge of distributed-system patterns.
