2D ARTIST / ANIMATION
🎨 About the role
You are the studio's first artist. You set the visual style and the feel of our games, then grow into art lead.
What you will do
- Set and keep the style: a style guide (palette, light, outline, proportions) so that 200 items and every screen look like one game
- Draw 150–200 item icons that read at a glance, even for players with weaker eyesight
- Design game screens: shelves, baskets, the counter, mechanics (ice, paper bags, boarded-up shelves, hammer, key), boosters, buttons, pop-ups and the win screen
- Bring the juice together with the Unity developer: effects for collecting a basket, rewards, the win, and a response to every player action
- Make 3–5 quick setting variants for ad creative tests
- Create the app icon and store screenshots, later creative materials and seasonal skins
What you should have
- Casual puzzle work in your portfolio: sort (goods, water, ball sort), match-3, triple match, tile, merge, block, hidden object
- At least one case at the level of today's top-100 puzzle games
- Game juice: effects, reward and action animations, colour and light that make the game feel good. Show it as video or GIF, not only static images
- AI in your daily work: you do the most with AI and the least by hand, and the result does not look like raw generation
- One consistent style across a large set of assets, and speed
- A good eye: you know what top puzzle games of 2025–2026 look like and why their art works
- You understand how assets live in Unity: atlases, sizes, 9-slice, particles
- Independence: you suggest options instead of waiting for a brief for every icon
- Tight deadlines: you are ready to work at full speed from day one
- Plus: art education (colour theory, composition), Spine or other 2D animation, Unity VFX, ad creatives, UI for an older audience
