How to change name on American Airlines flight tickets?

If you are travelling with American Airlines and booked the flight ticket in advance but while booking the ticket you have misspelled your name and now you want to correct it or if your last name is changed due to marriage or religion change. You must be wondering how to change name on American airlines ticket you are allowed to request to change your name on the ticket.

You need to follow the steps given below to make the changes in you flight online:

Ø Go to the American Airlines website by visiting the given link:

www.aa.com

Ø Click on the tab My trips

Ø You need to enter your first and the last name along with the booking reference number

Ø Click on the button Find reservation

Ø Under the American Airlines manage booking option you will be able to find the option to change the flight date and time, destination by choosing the change flight option and selection new flight

Ø Also you will get the option to correct your name under manage booking section.

Ø You can change the name on the ticket through that option and you have to provide the documents at the airport to prove it is your name.

If you change the name on your ticket which was misspelled there is no charge for that but American Airlines change flight will include the fare deference and flight change fee if the flight was cancelled after 24 hours of the flight booking time.
