What are the different types of clinical trials?

As we talk in our last episode about the clinical trials, this time we go more in depth and talk about the different types of clinical trials. There can be up to four different phases of clinical trials, which are defined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and consist of following stages:

A phase 0 is conducted with about 10 people. During this phase, a small subtherapeutic dose is used for pharmacokinetic studies that reveal the bioavailability and half-life of the drug.
