Shadow Fight 3's 7th anniversary! Article 2
Hello everyone! This is the second article in our series dedicated to the 7th anniversary of Shadow Fight 3, and I’m Eroizek.
It’s been a while since we last shared any news, so it’s time to tell you what’s coming next.
The remaining three parts of the series will cover three main topics:
- In the first article, we’ll discuss our plans for the upcoming update and what you’ll see by the end of the year.
- The second article will focus on mid-term plans and changes already in development.
- The third one will be all about Guilds and what you can expect from them.
Introduction:
First of all, I’d like to express my apologies on behalf of the team. Over the past year, we haven’t been able to implement a significant portion of the plans we announced to you.
As mentioned in the last Q&A, the main reason for this was the technical foundation of Shadow Fight 3.
After seven years, the game world has grown incredibly large and packed with activities, events, and opponents. Adding any massive new features severely impacted the game’s performance, leading to a poorer experience for players. That’s why we dedicated the project the past year to a technical overhaul. This work was aimed at speeding up development and enabling us to share with you larger updates overall.
We’ve made great progress on this front, so now we’re ready to return to our earlier plans, starting with the December update. Having learned from experience, we will share the sequence of planned features rather than specific release dates.
As an apology, we’ve prepared a promo code for you, which will be available until the end of the year!
Upcoming Plans:
The highlight of the last update was the revamped shop.
Its rework was the first step toward creating a new event system, the initial tests of which you experienced during the "Autumn Festival" event.
During that event, we gathered detailed feedback, which helped us better understand how we envision the evolution of events in Shadow Fight 3.
By the end of the year, we’ll be ready to introduce the first part of the new event system (there will be two parts in total) that will completely replace the current one.
The first part will focus on gameplay. The second part will emphasize the story.
We’ll share more details about the structure of events on Wednesday.
In addition to the event rework, a small update is coming your way in early December, which will include the following:
1. Information Feature about bosses in the Void
As the Void storyline expands, you’ll encounter increasingly complex and intriguing opponents along the way.
Himmelstein has already proven to be a somewhat confusing foe for many players, and the introduction of six boss levels on the first island only worsened the issue.
We’ve decided to introduce a "Boss Description" feature for raid opponents to help you better understand what to expect when facing a challenging enemy and plan your strategy in advance.
Additionally, the "Boss Description" will highlight the most effective equipment sets, showing you which ones are best suited to defeat each boss.
2. Technical Improvements
We’ve completed significant improvements to technical part of the game, enabling us to develop larger updates without compromising performance. If you experience any performance issues after the update, we’d greatly appreciate your feedback through the in-game support service.
3. Shop Functionality Update
After revamping the shop, we gathered feedback and improved it based on your suggestions. The following changes have been made:
- Enhanced visual indicators for shop slots.
- Improved display of item stats during purchases.
- Added new slot types.
Additionally, a new shop section will be introduced, allowing you to repurchase items that were previously unobtainable. For instance, if you already own the Edge of Time knife, you’ll be able to upgrade it through this shop.
On top of this, next week’s update will include long-awaited changes to the item generation logic for the late game, ensuring the shop remains useful at every stage of progression.
That’s the end of the second article about the upcoming plans and changes in Shadow Fight 3. On November 27, 2024, we’ll meet again and tell you more about the upcoming revamped event structure.
