Shadow Fight 3's 7th anniversary! Article 4
Hello everyone! Here we are with the fourth issue. In this article, we will share our plans for developing the game's social aspect. After all, it’s always more exciting to grow together with others rather than solo.
Right off the bat, we want to point out that this article will feature fewer beautiful images but a lot of thoughts about the future of Shadow Fight 3.
Disclaimer: We will refer to social groups as guilds, but the name may change in the final version and other articles.
What is a Guild?
First and foremost, for us, a guild is a group of players united by shared interests.
There could be many reasons that brought you together: perhaps you're a group of like-minded individuals who spend time together even outside the game and want to continue your adventures in Shadow Fight 3. Maybe you're connected by your allegiance to a specific in-game faction. Does the fire of exploring the game world burn within you? Or maybe your hearts are ablaze with the desire for glory and power?
Every one of our developers has, at some point in life, been part of a community. These could have been small teams in MOBAs or large clans in massive MMO projects. We all are different, but we want to give you the experience that we once received by ourselves.
What types of guilds are planned for Shadow Fight 3?
Currently, we plan to divide guilds into several distinct types:
Each type of guild will focus on a specific aspect of the game, allowing members to better explore and utilize its specialization.
Faction-Based Guilds are designed for players who want to defend the honor of their faction in Faction Wars. We plan to create a convenient system that will allow them to have a greater impact on battle outcomes and make coordination easier for achieving victory on the battlefield.
Competitive Guilds bring together players focused on strengthening their guild's influence. Conquering territories and dominating the global map are the driving forces that push these players into battle.
Story-Driven Guilds place communication at the forefront. Members can discuss plot twists, avoid spoilers, or even influence the storyline’s future direction.
Local Guilds are small groups of friends united to make their time in the game more enjoyable. More cozy conversations? Shared participation in activities and events? When everyone is having fun playing together, the overall experience becomes even better!
General Guilds are not tied to a specific specialization. Players in these guilds don’t focus on one area but prefer to dabble in everything a little.
Disclaimer: This classification of guilds may take different forms in the game’s functionality. It could range from a tag to help find like-minded players to unique mechanics for each guild type, such as different skill trees in the guild progression system or varied types of guild bases.
What will the guild offer players?
Beyond the opportunity to connect with those who share your goals and interests, we are testing various activities that we plan to implement in guilds.
Disclaimer: This is only a portion of the activities that will be available for guilds in the game. Keep in mind that their final form may differ significantly upon release.
We plan to introduce several core guild activities:
- Group participation in Faction Wars
- Group battles against Void Bosses
- Group completion of events (a group mode will be added in the game)
- Battles for Void Territories
- Guild Boss Fights and Guild Quests
We understand that some activities, like Guild Boss Fights, may already be familiar to you from other games. Our goal is to infuse each of them with unique elements to better capture the spirit of the Shadow Fight universe.
In addition to group activities, we are ready to announce a few mechanics that are highly likely to debut in the game alongside guilds: "Guild Dojo Building" and "Void equipment".
We plan to introduce a construction system, allowing guild members to work together to build their own Dojo—a space reflecting their individuality and achievements.
How we will work with guilds development?
Developing such a major feature is comparable to creating an entirely new game. There’s a lot to consider and even more to adjust.
With this in mind, we don’t want to set specific deadlines for implementing the guild system just yet. Instead, we aim to develop it together with you.
Thanks to the introduction of in-game surveys, we plan to frequently gather your feedback, including your thoughts on the planned guild functionality.
Our goal is to ensure that guilds are warmly received and that you genuinely enjoy spending time with your teammates.
In the future, we will publish a guild development roadmap, which will be updated alongside in-game surveys. This will allow you to track the progress of the guild system’s development. Expect to see this during version 1.41.0.
That's all for today. We’re confident that, together with you—our players—we can build a unique and engaging community both inside and outside the game. There’s a lot of work ahead, and we’re excited to develop this system in dialogue with you.
We eagerly await your feedback, which will help us make guilds a true reflection of the spirit of Shadow Fight.
As for the planned changes to the shop, they’ll be implemented later this year. Their release has been slightly delayed due to some bugs, but they are already being actively tested on a special server with a limited audience.
Stay tuned for updates—closer to the New Year, we’ll prepare a post summarizing the year’s highlights, where we’ll share important achievements and interesting facts.
