Digest: Story update, Journal and Adventures in version 1.30.0
In this digest we would like to share with you our plans for the update that is going to be released this fall. It will focus on the story and will contain not only a new chapter of the main plot, but also a number of other features that are directly related to the story and the world of Shadow Fight 3.
We all love interesting and exciting stories. Some of them allow us to pass the time, others keep us on our toes, but one of the most important aspects of any story is its presentation.
The world of Shadow Fight is huge and constantly developing. Starting with Shadow Fight 2, in 9 years the history of the world has been expanded with the help of Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight Arena and even comics (which we have already announced!).
Each of our projects has its own way of telling a story. But time goes by, and now the tools that we have in Shadow Fight 3 are not enough to fully convey to you all the stories that we would want to.
That is why we decided to dedicate update 1.30.0 to the story part of the Shadow Fight 3 world and the functionality with which we can expand this world for you and give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in it even more.
For us, one of the main problems with the plot presentation in Shadow Fight 3, oddly enough, were the main story fights. Sometimes the pause between them was too long, and the only instrument for telling the story we had were dialogues before and after the fight. As you progressed through a chapter, you could often forget what happened in the beginning, and the story became blurry as a result. If you returned to the game after a long break, it was almost impossible to remember what was happening in the story when you left. That is why we decided to introduce the Journal into the game.
Journal
The story journal will help you navigate the plot. As the main story progresses, protagonist's notes will be added there, which will allow you to not get lost in the main plot and better understand motivations for the actions of the characters.
After completing certain parts of the main story, you can collect a small but pleasant reward.
Character journal
Shadow Fight 3 has a huge number of characters. Some of them are central to the story, while others simply help us as we travel around the world. But we always lacked the tools to deepen these characters, better acquaint you with them, or even let the main character speak about them (tell more about their relationship with each other). To solve all of these problems, we introduce the Character Journal.
As you get to know different characters as you progress through the story, you'll collect them in your Journal. At the beginning, we plan to add 7 characters, and then gradually increase their number.
Inside the character's Journal, you can get to know them better by collecting notes about them that contain additional information. There are different conditions for obtaining these notes: some of them will require you to be smart, skillful, and understand the character.
By collecting notes about characters, you get Connection Points. Having collected the required number of points, you can increase the level of connection with a particular character, which will be useful to you in the future. The number of notes for each character is different and will increase over time. Some notes can only be obtained during certain temporary events.
But that's not all. Apart from the characters and the main plot, there are many other stories that we would like to share with you. The current functionality didn’t have the capacity for it, so we present you the Adventures!
Adventures
When you reach a certain level of connection with a character, you will gain access to an adventure in which they are the main character instead of you!
The adventures will take you to different parts of the world and time periods, connecting the characters and revealing their stories. In these adventures you will be able to learn even more about certain events that took place in the world of Shadow Fight, and even get to know new characters!
