Q&A: Current state of the game and plans for the future
Players ask many questions about the current state of Shadow Fight 3 and our future of plans for its development.
We've prepared a Q&A session to answer most popular questions. Next week, we will publish a big digest that will cover many topics, such as the upcoming Story update, Journal and Adventures.
Q: Do you somehow support those who create content in SF3?
A: In the near future we will be ready to announce a partnership program - and not only for content creators. Various gaming communities will also be able to take part in it!
Q: My favorite equipment set has no set bonus. Will you fix this situation in the future?
A: We plan to gradually add set bonuses to all legendary and unique equipment sets.
Q: When will new weapons and armor come out?
A: We just recently added Wolf Leader set and several Void weapons into the game. And two more new sets and one new combat style are coming soon!
Q: Do you plan to add new special moves and styles?
A: Animations are one of the most difficult aspects of Shadow Fight 3 development, so a new style release is almost always the more preferable option. We will definitely add new special moves and improve existing ones, but such releases won't be frequent and will probably come out as a bundle rather than stand-alone updates.
A: They will also definitely appear in the game. But before we add them, the current perk and set systems need to be carefully balanced. After we release the next story update, we'll take a closer look at the perks.
Q: Will we see weapons, special moves or bosses from Shadow fight 2 in the game?
A: We have no particular need to transfer content from SF2 to SF3, except for when it is required by the plot. At some point in the story you will be able to meet some of the characters from Shadow Fight 2.
Q: Will SF3 introduce a full offline mode?
A: No. Offline mode will not be introduced into the game for the foreseeable future. The modes that are currently available offline will continue to be available, but new ones will only be developed for online (or online + offline). SF3 is a big project, and some of the mechanics need online mode to work correctly.
Q: Will you add PvP mode to the game?
A: No, a real-time PvP mode is not currently planned.
Q: What are your plans for side quests and missions? They ended after the 7th chapter...
A: Currently there are no plans for adding new side quests and missions. The existing ones will be significally changed, we will tell you more in our next digest.
Q: Will the old events return to the game? Will the current ones be updated?
A: We plan to rework one-time events so that you can play them again - for example, the Golden Bamboo event, which has only been available once so far. We're also going to update some of our very first events, which are now out of date.
Q: In past events, we could get unique items - for example, in the Jewels of the North event. Will it be possible to get these items in the future?
A: Of course! Items that can be obtained during seasonal events will usually be available during similar seasonal events.
Q: When will new bosses be added to Raids?
A: Already next month we will release an update in which we will fix and improve a lot in the Raids mode. We plan to introduce new bosses from the world of the Void, and we will actively work on them after the next main story update. The new bosses will also appear during the Void-related events.
Q: What are you planning to do after the final chapter of the story is released?
A: We will be working on content updates for Raids and rebalance the current combat system in preparation for the introduction of new social activities.
Q: When will the Journal be added into the game?
A: The Journal will be released along with the next story update this fall. We'll talk more about both of them next week.
A: We plan to gradually improve the current game interface. In August we are planning to update the design of marathons for it to better match their current functionality. After that the store interface will be updated.
Q: Will you re-work equipment rarities and the in-game store?
A: Such changes are very complex, so they need a lot of time and thorough development. We want to do this right, so we're not going to hurry. Most probably, you'll be able to see these changes in the autumn or winter this year.
Q: Are you planning to re-work league system?
A: Yes, we are going to re-work league system, and also to change league rewards.
Q: When can we get more news on in-game social systems?
A: We began working on social mechanics this year, which include sever activities, tournaments and Raids. Right know we're starting development of huge social mechanics. New information on this topic will be available this fall.
