What is eSIM?
An eSIM is a built-in digital SIM card inside your phone or device. Unlike a regular SIM card that you need to insert or remove, an eSIM lets you connect to mobile networks and activate data plans without needing a physical card. Everything is done digitally, making it easier and faster to use.
What services can I use with an eSIM?
An eSIM works just like a traditional SIM card: it lets you connect to mobile networks, browse the internet, use your favorite apps, and make calls or send messages through internet-based apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Viber.
Does an eSIM provide a phone number?
No, an eSIM does not include a virtual phone number. When you purchase an eSIM, you are essentially buying a data plan that provides internet access. It allows you to connect to mobile networks for data usage, but it does not assign a separate phone number for calls or SMS.
Which devices support eSIM?
Before buying eSIM, make sure to check if your device supports this technology. While most recent smartphones, tablets offer eSIM functionality, it’s recommended to confirm compatibility with your operator. A full list of eSIM-compatible devices is available here.
Can I use a physical SIM card and an eSIM at the same time?
Yes, you can. Your phone can use both a regular SIM card and an eSIM at the same time. You don’t have to take out your physical SIM. This means you can keep your main phone number and still use the eSIM for internet when you travel.
What to do if my eSIM runs out of data?
With Simhub’s eSIM, you can easily check your data usage and add more data right in the app. When your data runs out, just buy a new data package to top up your eSIM and keep using the internet without interruptions.
Can I disable eSIM?
Yes, you can disable eSIM. Usually, the eSIM appears on your device as an additional phone number. You can enable or disable the eSIM directly in your smartphone’s settings.
