Motivation to do Public Speaking

Reading time: 3.5 min

Here is my list of motivators. Compare it with your list and I hope you will be more conscious about your essentials in Public Speaking, and it will be easier to set personalized goals in this fabulous skill.

Number 5 Networking

Opportunity to find new friends at the sessions and work together. New acquaintances are the best investment you could do if you are young. All the people you meet now will definitely take a huge advantage in your future life|career|etc. So, visit as many events, while you have free time.

Communication during tea breaks

Number 4 Leaving your comfort zone

Sitting at home above tons of books is cool, but unfortunately, "we never know what we do not know". When you get outside, you get to know new areas of development, in which you could alternatively deepen your knowledge. If you think that any upcoming event will not give you anything - you are making a big mistake.

There is such a calling "nothing ventured, nothing gained".

Number 3 English improvement

There is no better way to advance your "Speaking" other than speaking on an ongoing basis. When you learn public speaking, you actually speak a lot, not only in front of people but also during small talks|tea breaks|etc. Sessions in English tune your brain multi directly (language, communications, public performances).

Performances in English

Number 2 and 1 Fear and Practice

It is impossible to be fearless. You probably know, that even experienced speakers are afraid of speaking in public. But the thing which makes them great is the knowledge of how to convert this fear into an advantage. By doing things again and again, you get used to them, so PRACTICE, in my opinion, is the most important motivator to attend to public speaking sessions.

To be the best in something you need to do that. Professional climbers are professionals because they climb every day, great singers are great because they sing every day, the same technique works with public speaking.

In the next post, we will discuss how to set goals in public speaking and how they help in this skill. So, wait for the updates, subscribe to our channel in telegram , share this post or leave a comment here
