Staking SOMI helps secure and decentralize the Somnia network, and the process takes only a few minutes.
Step 1. Connect your Wallet
Go to the Somnia Explorer, click “Connect Wallet,” and then navigate to the staking service.
In the modal window, select a validator for example, STAKEME and choose the amount you want to delegate.
When selecting a validator, it’s important to review their parameters (such as delegation rate and performance), then click Delegate next to the chosen validator.
You can find more detailed information on the validator’s page in the Explorer.
The delegation rate shows the percentage of rewards a validator shares with delegators
(for example, an 80% rate means the validator distributes 80% of rewards to delegators and keeps 20% as commission).
Manage Your Delegations
After delegating your tokens, you will be able to unstake them within a few minutes, but there are some important details to keep in mind.
- Rewards: Distributed once per epoch (~5 minutes, about 3,000 blocks).
- Unstaking: When delegating to a validator with more than 5M SOMI staked, there is no unbonding period if the delegator chooses to unstake from that validator.

Top Stakers is a modal that displays the largest stakers in the Somnia network and their share of the total stake.
