Why 0G?

Current AI infrastructure solutions are predominantly centralized, creating issues related to data ownership, transparency, and scalability. Despite the potential of decentralized AI, the challenges surrounding scalability, latency, and high-performance workloads have made it unfeasible — until now.

0G is changing the game by providing the foundational layer for decentralized AI, giving users full control over their data, enhancing transparency, and ensuring equitable monetization opportunities. At the core of 0G’s success is our ability to orchestrate distributed hardware resources such as storage, computational power, and data availability, all via our decentralized AI operating system (deAIOS).

Our modular, integrated system can seamlessly connect with any project or workflow, unlocking new possibilities for decentralized AI applications on-chain.

Key Components

  • 0G Storage: A decentralized network designed to securely handle large-scale data storage, enabling efficient and reliable access.
  • 0G DA (Data Availability): A highly scalable, programmable data availability layer that ensures seamless data access and verification for users.
  • 0G Service Marketplace: A platform that facilitates the exchange of AI services, including inference, and will soon expand to include pre-trained AI models and datasets in 2025.
  • 0G Compute: Access to decentralized computational resources such as GPUs through our partnerships with Aethir, Akash Network, and more.

Projects Using 0G

AI Projects

AI projects face several challenges, especially when it comes to storing vast datasets on-chain and quickly retrieving them for training or inference. 0G solves these problems by offering a fully integrated AI infrastructure that enables secure data storage, access to computational resources, and scalability. Key use cases include:

  • Inference & Models: Projects like Pond are leveraging 0G for community-driven AI models, while Assisterr is bringing small language models (SLMs) on-chain for specialized applications.
  • Training & Fine-tuning: Bagel is using 0G to store and manage data for fine-tuning AI models, ensuring developers have reliable access to the datasets they need.
  • Applications: Capx is utilizing 0G Storage for vector databases, ensuring scalability and data integrity in its AI-powered applications.
  • Agents: Talus and Theoriq are developing autonomous AI agents, using 0G’s infrastructure for secure access to on-chain data and compute resources.

Gaming

The gaming industry has long faced obstacles in utilizing blockchain technology due to scalability concerns, high transaction fees, and the complexity of managing decentralized game data in real time. 0G overcomes these hurdles by providing solutions for secure, on-chain storage, fast data availability, and high-performance computational power. Notable gaming projects using 0G include:

  • Blade Games: Stores on-chain game states, including ZK proofs and task IDs, enabling verifiable and secure gameplay.
  • Neon Machine (Shrapnel): Uses 0G Storage to ensure the integrity of game assets in its blockchain-based shooter game.
  • Gaimin: Leverages 0G DA to stream player rewards and store important metadata, such as user ownership of in-game assets.

Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZK)

Zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) are essential for privacy-preserving solutions in Web3, but their implementation at scale can be computationally intensive. 0G enables projects to securely generate and store ZK proofs, optimizing performance and scalability. Some of the key projects leveraging 0G for ZK solutions include:

  • Gevulot and Orochi Network: Use 0G to securely generate and store ZK proofs and optimize the deployment of their AI models.

Cross-Chain and Web3 Infrastructure

One of the significant barriers to Web3 scaling is fragmented infrastructure that operates across only select Layer 2 or Layer 1 networks. 0G’s interoperability features allow seamless cross-chain functionality, enabling secure asset bridging and data exchange across networks. Notable projects leveraging 0G for cross-chain data and Web3 infrastructure include:

  • AltLayer, Caldera, Rome Protocol: These Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) providers use 0G DA to facilitate scalable and decentralized data solutions for their app chains.
  • Hemera and Redstone: Provide data indexing and oracle functionality, enhancing the capabilities of projects built on 0G.
  • Galxe: A decentralized super app that integrates 0G for storage, AI services, and marketing applications.

DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks)

DePIN projects face significant challenges in managing decentralized communication and data collection across physical devices. 0G’s infrastructure provides the scalability and security needed to overcome these hurdles. Key DePIN projects using 0G include:

  • IoTeX and Mizu: Leverage 0G for secure and decentralized data collection from IoT devices.
  • Hyperbolic: Uses 0G to democratize GPU access for decentralized infrastructure projects.
  • Huddle01 and NetMind: Utilize 0G for decentralized storage and communication infrastructure to support real-time applications.

Other Projects

0G also supports a diverse range of projects beyond AI, gaming, and DePIN. For example:

  • Humanity Protocol: A decentralized identity project that stores metadata using 0G Storage and relies on 0G DA for fast verification and querying.
  • Galxe: A highly prominent decentralized super app that integrates 0G for secure storage, AI services, and more.

0G's Strategic Partnerships

As part of our ecosystem expansion, 0G has also formed key partnerships to further advance our own technological capabilities. For instance, we leverage GPU resources from partners like Aethir, Spheron, and Zeeve to accelerate processes like erasure coding (used in 0G Storage for splitting data). We also work with leading oracle providers like Hemera and Quex to stream data securely across networks, enhancing fault tolerance and expanding the range of available data points.

Furthermore, we are partnering with projects like EigenLayer and Babylon to provide restaking solutions that improve network security. These partnerships enable us to continue building a resilient and scalable infrastructure that supports the next generation of decentralized AI applications.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we move into 2025, 0G is poised to deepen its integration with leading Web3 projects, further solidifying our position as a foundational player in decentralized AI. We are expanding our product suite, including the new Compute Network, a decentralized marketplace for AI services like inference, RAG, and model hosting. Our commitment to innovation remains strong, and we will continue to share exciting updates and new product launches in the near future.

The possibilities are vast, and 0G’s infrastructure is ready to support nearly any project in the Web3 space, unlocking new opportunities for innovation and decentralized AI.
