After the big changes we rolled out last month, we have a simple newsletter for you guys this month. Let's get right into it.
Bot Arcade Changes
A new category of channels will be steadily rolling out over the month. This will focus entirely on Bot Commands and Discord games.First off, Bot Arcade (the channel) will be renamed into Nova Casino. This will be fully dedicated to the Monthly Jackpot and everything to do with hit. It's gotten pretty clogged as it currently houses ALL of our members Bot commands, to help with this...we will be making a simple command channel where you can use basic commands like /report, /levels, and etc. Chroma station will also be moved to this channel. If we add new bots to Supernova, we will give them their own specific channel inside this category. Of course, we know channel clog is a persistent issue inside of Supernova. So we will try to be mindful of what we add. However, a new spin on an old classic discord event might find it's permanent home inside this category. That's if you guys actively engagge with it of course.
Introducing Chroma Wars!
Almost a year and half ago, we ran a week long event called Staff Wars! A largely complicated mess of an event where we pit two sides of the staff team against each other and the community could support them using various action commands. This...was a decent idea, but it didn't quite hit the mark. However, some of the community has been asking for something similar. We've also been looking to make a more engaging way to bring new Chroma-Star Colors (Discord role colors) into Supernova outside simple votes...So we introduce to you...CHROMA WARS!
A server in turmoil, pick a side!
Fidgit and Widgit are at war with one another! They both have a selection of colors they'd like to add to the Chroma Station, but there's only so much Chromalite to go around! So each bot ks asking the Nova-nauts to help secure as much of it as possible. Pledge your allegiance to one of the Bots, and assist your side with collecting as much Chromalite as possible by using various action commands! The team that gets that fills their Chromalite Reactor the most by the end of the event wins! Seems simple enough right? Haha...WRONG
Vibrant and Violent
You'lll be able to peacefully extract and refine chromalite inside your factions specific channel....however the opposing faction can invade your channel and try to steal, sabotage, and attack your Chromalite production! You'll be able to return the favor of course, and go over and attack them! Going on the offensive is risky though, and you could end up loosing chromalite if the enemies defenses are well maintained!
Progression and Playing
Each Day, Widgit will post a progress tracker for both sides to see how the war is going. You'll see how full your Chromalite Reactor is, and how full the enemies is! Don't sweat about your team hogging all the action commands, you'll be able to help the War effort completely at your own pace...with most commands having only a personal cooldown...However, both sides have a chance to use certain Super Commands that can be only claimed by one side per use! Fidgit and Widgit will also deploy their armies if Fidgi-trons and Widgi-bots against one another to help aid in the conflict! The event will also last for 7 days! Those with a little bit of spare Nova Tokens can purchase Warbonds for their team! These will give random buffs for their entire faction for 1 day!
Is this pay to win? No, it's gambling to win! 99% of all Chroma-war veterans quit before they win big!
When the dust settles...
When the event ends, the winner will be declared. The Faction with the most Chromalite in their Reactor will be crowned winner, and their colors will be added to the Chroma Station. The losing faction will have their Bot executed on a livestream and each member of their faction permanently banned. Just kidding! The colors that lose will go back into rotation and be brought back as an option at a later date. If the community enjoys this event, we will turn it into a reoccurring event every few months!
The winning factions members will also be given a month long XP boost, 50 Diamond Entries in the monthly jackpot, and the Chroma-naut role EVEN if they aren't level 50 yet. Of course, when the event arrives, a simple breakdown of how to play will be provided. Oh speaking of which...when does the war start? Monday, May 26th! (Based on USA-EST) and will end on Monday, June 2nd. (Also based on USA-EST).
