The Future of DeFi: Intents and Resolvers
During the ZK Community Meetup held in Istanbul, Tigran Bolshoi, one of the co-founders of Kinetex, shared his insights on the new cross-chain standard that uses intents to enable instant swaps between users and market makers.
Traditional cross-chain transactions often present challenges like security risks, unfavorable conditions, and poor user experience. For instance, third-party validators may threaten the security of transactions, an excessive number of fees and commissions may confuse users, and complicated interfaces and swap processes may make swapping crypto a dreadful and challenging task.
Intents provide a more efficient way of swapping assets by eliminating the need for users to decide on an exact way to process their orders, allowing for greater flexibility in volatile crypto markets. To execute orders, Kinetex employs resolvers that cover multiple crucial aspects, including finding sufficient liquidity and making gas payments.
