The 128 GB version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S is an inexpensive smartphone, but it is not outdone at the advanced component level to ensure honorable performance.

In the range of smartphones designed by Xiaomi , if there is one that should not be forgotten, it is the Redmi Note 10S. It is quite simply the entry-level phone that everyone agrees on. The latter looks like the classic version, but promises a better photo experience as well as better performance, all for an affordable price. It is also the 128 GB version which benefits from better value for money

THE STRENGTHS OF THE REDMI NOTE 10S

THE ENTRY LEVEL PAR EXCELLENCE

Representing the manufacturer's entry-level segment, the Redmi Note 10S shares a good part of its technical sheet with the Redmi Note 10 . Starting with the design, which is almost identical: we find a rather light smartphone (178.8 grams), with the same dimensions, the same front and back. On the screen side, it has the same 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel displaying a Full HD + definition. Some of you might regret the absence of a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz, but the visual comfort is there. The screen offers good brightness, excellent contrasts and fairly well-calibrated colors.

To continue in the comparison with the Redmi Note 10, this S version also offers a quadruple photo sensor located in the upper left corner at the back. However, with a notable change, the main photo sensor goes to 64 megapixels (instead of the 48 megapixels of the classic model). This is a much appreciated addition that will allow the smartphone to ensure good quality shots when the light conditions are met. As for the other sensors, the ultra wide-angle, the macro and depth cameras offer the same performance as on the classic version, but can still be improved.

A REDMI NOTE 10S…SURPRISING

The great strength of this model lies in its performance, because unlike the classic version, the Redmi Note 10S is not equipped with a Qualcomm chip, but with a MediaTek Helio G95 chip . During our test, it surprised everyone by running Fortnite with high quality graphics. A great feat compared to the Redmi Note 10 which did not go beyond the “low” level. This configuration brings a welcome power gain and good daily fluidity. In addition, the branded MIUI 12 interface based on Android 11 offers a clearly pleasing and smooth experience.

Finally, the phone has a large 5000 mAh battery. Despite a change of processor, the endurance of the device is not affected. The smartphone can be used for two days before requiring a full charge.
