Axiom Testnet Guide - Step-by-step.

Axiom lets smart contracts perform calculations on the entire history of Ethereum transactions. Developers can submit trustless blockchain queries to Axiom, and the ZK-verified results are sent in a callback to the developer's smart contract. This allows developers to build applications on the blockchain that access more data at a lower cost without additional trust checks.

ZK proofs allow Axiom to provide security that is cryptographically equivalent to Ethereum while scaling beyond its strict computational limitations.

Key benefits of Axiom for on-chain applications include:

  • Access to historical blockchain data;
  • Flexibility and scalability;
  • Access to ZK using only Solidity and Typescript.

Investments:

In January 2024, the project raised $20 million from such well-known funds as Paradigm, Standard Crypto, Robot Ventures and Ethereal Ventures.

Thoughts:

The project docs state directly that qualified participants who fulfill the testnet conditions will be rewarded with an airdrop. If we add to this the 20 million in attracted investments and the Paradigm fund, this is a good incentive to take part in this testnet, especially since it does not take much time.

How to participate?

Claiming test Sepolia ETH

  • Visit the Alchemy Faucet, specify your wallet address and click “Send me ETH”.

Testing the platform

  • Visit the Axiom REPL and connect your wallet on the Ethereum Sepolia network;
  • Click “Test circuit” and wait for the operation to finish;
  • Next, click “Generate keys” and wait for the operation to finish;
  • Next, click “Generate proof” and wait for the confirmation;
  • Next, click “Send Axiom query”, then click “Send Query”;
  • Done;
  • Click “Save Gist”, then click “Save as New Gist”, connect your Github account and confirm;
  • Done.
