Caldera Testnet Guide - Step by step.

Caldera specializes in building high-performance, customizable, and blockchain-specific layer 2 applications. These blockchains (Caldera Chains) provide high throughput, low latency and customizable features to optimize the performance and user experience of decentralized applications, with the ability to process hundreds of transactions per second and sub-second confirmation times.

Caldera creates chains that are custom made optimistic rollups.

Rollup features:

  • Fast: process hundreds of transactions per second with sub-second confirmation times;
  • Highly customizable: Features such as address whitelisting or sustainable income generation;
  • Ethereum Compatible: Executes standard Ethereum smart contract code without modification.

Investments:

The project has raised $9M in two rounds of funding from funds such as Sequoia Capital, Dragonfly, Neo, 1kx and Ethereal Ventures, as well as a host of Web2 and Web3 angels.

Thoughts:

Since the project is at a very early stage, we have just enough time to be active and get high chances for a possible retrodrop as early users.
