Linea is a type 2 Ethereum zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkEVM). zkEVM replicates the Ethereum environment as a roll and allows developers to build on it like on the Ethereum mainnet.

Linea allows you to deploy any smart contract, use any tool, and develop as if you were building on Ethereum. For users, this allows for the experience and security guarantees of Ethereum, but at lower transaction costs.
