About SiO2 Finance

SiO2 Finance is the multi-VM lending hub on Astar for Polkadot. We aim to become the best lending product with excellent user experience, easy-to-use one-click features, and transparent governance.

Preparing the wallet for the Тestnet.

Add a test network to your Metamask wallet using the following template:

Click “Add Network” and add the information!

Network Name: Astar_shibuya

New RPC URL: https://evm.shibuya.astar.network

Chain ID: 81

Currency Symbol: SBY

Block Explorer URL:https://shibuya.subscan.io

Your MetaMask wallet is ready to be used in the Astar Network!

Testnet start

First step

We go to the official website and connect our test wallet - https://shibuya.sio2.finance/

Second step

In the top menu of the site, click on the "Faucet" button and request test tokens.

You will need an SBY token to pay the commission, visit this site and request it following the instructions in the screenshot.

Third step

Now go to the “Dashboard” page and click on the “Supply “button in your chosen crypto. “Supply APY” indicates the reward rate from interest. “Supply APR” indicates the liquidity mining reward from SIO2 tokens.

Next, enter the amount that you want to supply and hit “Supply.”

We recommend that you carry out such operations with all available coins, we have wrapped Bitcoin and wrapped Ethereum. Confirm all transactions and you should be confirmed and look like this!

Fourth step

If you want to try our borrow feature, choose your desired crypto and click on “Borrow.” “Borrow APY” indicates the interest rate that you have to pay. “Supply APR” indicates the liquidity mining reward from SIO2 tokens.

Next, set the amount you wish to borrow and push the “Borrow” button in the pop-up window.

Fifth step

Go to the "Stake" tab and follow the instructions in the screenshot.

You will be able to bet in "Stake" only after a certain number of coins have been SiO2 mined.

This concludes our test journey with the SiO2 project.
You can also browse the site and look at market statistics and other platform features, this is not necessary but interesting.
