XION Testnet Guide - Step-by-Step.

XION is a modular L1 blockchain that will simplify the creation of consumer Web3 applications.

XION technology is powered by Generalized Abstraction, a comprehensive infrastructure solution to enable mass app adoption. This technology removes significant barriers to entry for new users while sidestepping the fragmentation issues that developers face in other ecosystems. The blockchain is developed based on the Cosmos SDK framework and uses the Comet BFT consensus algorithm, which ensures native compatibility of XION with the Cosmos network ecosystem.

Investments:

The project had 3 rounds of investment, collecting $36 million in the first two rounds from funds such as Animoca Brands, Multicoin Capital, Mechanism Capital, Hashkey and Solana. The strategic round was closed by Circle Ventures for an undisclosed amount, which indicates the demand for the technology that XION offers.

Thoughts:

As you know, any L1 project comes out with a token right out of the gate to facilitate gas fee payments. At the moment, this is the final stage of the testnet, which hints at an imminent release. The successful releases of Celestia and Dymension, which distributed quite impressive retrodrops to early users, can serve as good examples here.

Currently, there is a trend of distributing tokens in the space ecosystem to ATOM and TIA stakers, as well as upgraded EVM wallets, but it is highly likely for XIOM to distribute tokens for using the testnet. In light of this, and given that activity in the project is completely free, we strongly suggest that you spend a little time on this project and be active here.

Creating an account

Visit the project's website and connect using your email address;

Enter your email address;

Enter the email passcode;

Create and log into your new account;

Completing tasks

Connect Discord and Twitter/X in the top left corner;

Complete the simplest basic task to earn 150 XP, to do so, you need to share on Twitter/X and mint the “Welcome" NFT.

The next task is to do with referrals. You need to refer 2 people to the project and for them to mint the “Welcome" NFT, which will let you mint the “Referral” NFT.

The Galxe campaign

Claim OAT on Galxe, this requires that you complete social tasks (The deadline is Feb 15);

XION Staking Campaign

Go to the site and log in via email;

We take the test token “Faucet 1 XION”;

Click “Delegate” on any validator;

Enter 0.5 XION as required in the task and delegate;

After staking, a green dot should appear, which means that the delegation was successful. Now we need to send another 0.5 XION to two validators. To do this, you need to use the faucet again, since the first time it gave out 1 XIOM, and in total you need 1.5 for three validators;

All validators were reflected on top, and green bars also appeared opposite them - this means that everything was done correctly;

Now go to the website and pick up the NFT for this task. To do this, you need to complete social tasks, and then mint will be available;
