Merry-go-round

One aspect of Russian life that I find interesting is popular culture - the things that all Russians have known and shared since childhood.

My wife and I are of the same generation. While I was coming of age in Texas, she was doing the same in the Soviet Union. Sometimes we watch old cartoons on Youtube from her childhood. One series was called Весёлая карусель - Merry-Go-Round.

You don't need to understand Russian to get the idea, such as in Антошка - Antoshka, which follows the same theme as The Little Red Hen. Also in this video is what I suppose is the first example of Ну, Погоди! (Well, Just You Wait!), which is a series inspired by Tom & Jerry.
