Guide to Success: How to get into Top Universities. (part 2)
Hello, Dear readers and welcome to our new article of the education-related sequel “Guide To Success”. And, as you have probably known from the title, in this article we will keep up with talking about steps that you have to undertake in order to get into the most desired universities by all students in the world.
So, since last time we have talked about such stodgy topic as getting your SAT certificate, now we will move on to a more exciting part of your application, that is crucial for successful enrollment and even getting a scholarship, which is:
Motivation letter and who do I need to motivate?
Motivation letter is a brief summary (usually one page is enough) about why You are the perfect candidate for particular educational program at the college or university, and important to know that, in some cases, you will have to write a ML not only while applying abroad for your bachelor and master degree, but for PhD and it is also works as an attachment to your resume while applying to a job.
— But, wait, what will I write in it?
As we have already mentioned ML is a letter all about you, your study plans, achievements, goals (and how the program that you applying to is going to help you to achieve them), personality and most importantly: Why your application should be approved. In other words, you will need to demonstrate why you want to pursue this degree, what qualities you can bring to a program and why particular university is the best option for you, by giving strong and ambitious arguments.
In short, even if the motivational letter seems scary and time-consuming for you, the best tip I can give as a 16-year old student (who has never even written a motivation letter in her life) is to practice, be persistent and hard-working in order to make one more step towards your dream.
I am, your sincere assistant, hoping that the article was of much help for you.
