What is the secret of victory?

Zuhriddin Mansurov, Xolmatov Shohruh and Akobir Davronov from 2UzG1 talk about ALWIUT Football Championship May 2021.

It is known, that the most intense and long-awaited match of entire championship in the last season was the final between 2UzG1 and 2RuG4. Both teams were determined to win and fought hard to get the Coveted Cup. However, according to the results of the game, the former team became the winner. While their rivals tried to use the technique of counterattack, players of 2UzG1 managed to take away the ball from opponents and thus they scored a goal which was the first and the last.

In order to reveal their secrets of the success and share them, Zuhriddin Mansurov – attacker, Holmatov Shohruh – midfielder and Akobir Davronov – also attacker, were interviewed. They told about their efforts, feelings, arguments and future plans.

- How often did you have trainings and what strategies did you use?

Akobir Davronov: “We trained twice per week to be in the form and we tried to avoid from injuries mainly defenders, because there were only 2 of them who were indispensable”.

Zuhriddin Mansurov: “Well, apart from training and playing games during the lessons. We voluntarily organized weekly matches to better understand the teammates and structure the gaming strategy”.

Besides, Shohruh added about strategy that Saidasror, who is one of the main figures in the game and midfielder, was responsible for making strategies before each match depending on their opponent. During the first two minutes in any game, they tried to identify their weak points, and score goals from these.

For the question: “How do you think which position is the most important among others?”, they all answered that for them the main position was defender’s position because it played important role in every match. Also because of this they could withstand to toughest teams.

- They say football players are selfish. How to overcome this to start working as a team?

Akobir Davronov: “Yeah, thats right, that every player wants to hit lots of goals to win the fame among football funs. However, we always tried to play friendly”.

Zuhriddin Mansurov: “Ahaha, our team strongly promotes the idea of teamwork, so whoever breaks the principles of our team, we immediately think of kicking them out as a type of punishment”.

Holmatov Shohruh: “Nevertheless, the captain of the team plays a significant role in it, because he leads the team, tells other players what to do, and shows the directions. Therefore, being selfish can be overcome by playing in a good team having a smart captain”.

- Was it difficult to combine football with your studies?

Akobir Davronov: “Never we could handle both of them. Teachers always supported us and even sometimes finished the classes earlier so that we could train properly”.

Zuhriddin Mansurov: “If you do what you love, you can easily combine your duties and passion”.

Holmatov Shohruh: “Matches were organized after lyceum lessons, so it helped us to organize a balance”.

- Have you had any arguments with other teams?

Zuhriddin Mansurov: “In hard times, we tried to be as empathetic as possible for each other.”.

Holmatow Shohruh: “We played friendly and welcomed every team playing against us. Therefore, we've never had conflicts with others”.

- A new championship is starting soon. What are your plans?

Akobir Davronov: “We have already seen some of the teams and I think that in this championship there will be a lot of adept teams and it becomes really hard to defend the cup”.

Zuhriddin Mansurov: “Well, we never have a plan B. Last time, none believed that we would win the title, but we made it happen. We are going to do it again!”

Holmatov Shohruh: “We are planning to win this upcoming Championship also. Since the previous one, we've improved our skills and are ready to do our best”.
