Peru's economy is recognized as the most stable in Latin America. Peru has displaced Chile from the first place in the ranking of countries with the most stable economy in the South American and Caribbean region, compiled by the American edition of Bloomberg. In recent years, the country has experienced significant economic growth, but the weak sides of the economy are dependence on metal prices on the world market. Peru occupies an average position in Latin America in terms of the size and level of economic development; the average GDP is about $70 billion.
The main guidelines of the economic policy of the Government of Peru are the development of the agricultural sector and tourism, export promotion, attracting private investment, support for national producers, construction of cheap housing, decentralization of the country's governance.
The prospects for the development of Peru's economy lie in active integration into the world community based on its strengths and attracting international partners, including Russia, for their development, using sufficiently cheap labor and natural resources to increase exports and attract international corporations. A number of economic factors indicate the existence of prospects for the development of the energy sector in Peru, which may lead to the demand for innovative technical solutions – electric generating buildings.
