The hockey players of the Galaxy Warriors club visited the office of the W.E.T.E.R, GOROD L.E.S and V.O.D.A projects in Dubai
The active work of the team and participants of the W.E.T.E.R, GOROD L.E.S and V.O.D.A projects to popularize projects contributes to the development of interest in them from various people, including well-known athletes and sports figures in the Middle East. Contacts are gradually expanding, which determines the support of projects and the attraction of new participants.
In February 2024, the office of WETER LLC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (address: TIAGLIN HUB, WETER LLC; UAE, DUBAI, DIP 1, W10) was visited by coaches of the Galaxy Hockey Academy and the Galaxy Warriors hockey club Vladislav Lomakin and his twin brother Yuri Lomakin, who are active participants in projects W.E.T.E.R, GOROD L.E.S and V.O.D.A. Together with these persons, a citizen of the Sultanate of Oman, Zayid ELD Al Hashimi, also visited the office.

Vladislav Lomakin and Yuri Lomakin are famous twin brothers in ice hockey. They started playing hockey at the age of three. Over the years, they have achieved professional results in various leagues around the world, including France, Sweden, Turkey and the UAE. They won national championships in all the countries where they played. In the UAE, they were an integral part of the league, winning the 2020 – 2021 season with the Dubai Mighty Camels and finishing the season with the best players in goals and assists. In the 2022-2023 season, they won the championship again with the EHL team The White Bears.

In Dubai, the UAE, winter sports are actively developing due to their growing popularity among the population and cultivation by foreigners. Ice hockey, which has received support from the authorities of the Emirates, is of great importance. There are 10 ice rinks in the UAE, 5 of which are full-size and designed to the highest standards.
Dubai, the most populous emirate, has three such rinks, while other full-size rinks are in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. In recent years, there has been an arrival of new hockey players from all over the world, which is facilitated by the hockey organization - the Galaxy Hockey Academy. The Academy was registered in 2022 and is the first specialized and fully licensed hockey academy in the UAE, designed to develop this sport and train local and foreign hockey players. The academy has a team of licensed coaches and professional players, and is managed by a team of finance professionals and sports enthusiasts. The guests of the WETER LLC office were given an introductory tour of its premises. The models of the multi-level infrastructure of the city and power generating buildings (wind power complexes) developed under the GOROD L.E.S and W.E.T.E.R projects are presented for visual perception.
An information tour was held on the design and technological process of electricity generation by a wind power complex and a hydropower device, the features of the new infrastructure concept of the city were commented on, the prospects for the construction (production) and use of facilities developed within the framework of the W.E.T.E.R, GOROD L.E.S and V.O.D.A projects were outlined. The graphic drawings also featured a new wind energy building combined with an ice arena, where cutting-edge technical and technological solutions are combined with natural forms.
The participants of the meeting expressed mutual interest in the development of cooperation and interaction on ongoing projects.
