Along with the applications for the invention "Wind Farm" filed in several African countries, work has begun on the national protection of the invention in the Republic of Ghana through the PCT system of international patenting (Patent Cooperation Treaty, 1970).

Patenting of the invention "Wind Farm" in the Republic of Ghana is carried out on the basis of an international application for an innovative technical solution PCT/RU2021/050385 dated November 19, 2021, filed with the International Bureau (IB) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and published on September 9, 2022 on the PATENTSCOPE portal (https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=WO2022186725) with the number WO 2022/186725 A1. The international application is published after the patent search in the form of a brochure, including a standard title page, description, claims, drawings, and international search report.
The phase of national patenting in the Republic of Ghana began with the filing on September 5, 2023 of an application for the invention "Wind Farm" to the Patent Office - the Registrar General's Department of the Ministry of Justice (http://www.mojagd.gov.gh). The application for the invention was sent by the patent attorney in the interests of the copyright holder of exclusive rights to the result of intellectual activity D. Tiaglin. The Ghana Patent Office will provide the registration number of the application for the invention in the near future.
The application for the invention "Wind Farm" in accordance with the Patent Act of 2003 (Act 657) is subject to review in the Registrar General's Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Ghana within a period not exceeding 2 years. During the consideration of the application, a formal examination and substantive examination will be conducted, during which the presence of signs of patentability of the proposed technical solution is established. Based on the results of the examination, a decision is expected to be made on the issuance of a national patent of the Republic of Ghana for an invention.
The Republic of Ghana has good economic indicators in comparison with other African countries. The gross domestic product (GDP) is 62.3 billion US dollars and tends to grow. Gold and foreign exchange reserves are estimated at 10 billion US dollars. The domestic debt is US $ 30 billion, and the external debt is US $ 16.5 billion. The unemployment rate is 12%. Over the past five years, the country's foreign trade turnover has been about 30 billion US dollars. The main import items are oil and petroleum products, machine tools and equipment, automobiles, food, medicines and consumer goods. The export structure is dominated by cocoa beans and semi-finished products from them, gold, wood, fish, manganese and bauxite. The main foreign trade partners are the USA, Great Britain, China, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, India, Nigeria and Turkey.
The state of the economy and economic activity determine the need for the efficiency of Ghana's infrastructure, the development of the energy industry based on innovative technologies and facilities that will allow developing its own industrial production, reducing the country's dependence on imports of goods and equipment. In this regard, it is possible to use electric generating buildings on its territory.
