Material for the presentation of the new urban infrastructure of Manama (Kingdom of Bahrain)

The importance of optimal construction of urban infrastructure as a center of concentration of population, industrial production, management, financial activity, economic and social relations, communication and information links, national culture seems quite obvious. Consideration of the existing problems of the development of urban areas, improving the efficiency and safety of urban infrastructure, construction of an optimal system of urban communications and production sphere, the creation of a comfortable and attractive environment for human habitation is relevant at the present time. The creation of optimal, efficient urban infrastructure can be achieved by applying a new infrastructure concept of urban area development, proposed by the inventor D. Tiaglin. According to the innovator's idea, the facilities developed under the GOROD L.E.S. (Logistic Eco System) and W.E.T.E.R. projects can be used to build new urban infrastructure. This concept involves the construction of multi-level urban infrastructure in combination with wind energy complexes, which provides energy efficiency and compact urban infrastructure.

A fascinating video of the new infrastructural concept for part of the Manama City area is being prepared for presentation in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The 12-minute video combines animation with a panoramic view of the areas of the capital Bahrain. High-quality graphics in the material demonstrate the multi-level infrastructure and power-generating buildings, the combination of their location, functioning and interaction, providing an innovative arrangement of the entire infrastructure and creating a unique architectural appearance of the area. The new infrastructural concept for part of the city of Manama extends the limits of the multi-level system of urban communications; it provides for the creation of additional production areas, industrial facilities with a possible closed cycle of production, as well as the placement of administrative, public and social facilities within the multi-level system of the city. It takes into account the climatic conditions for the island city of Manama.

The video clearly depicts the division of urban infrastructure into four following levels:

  • on the first level - production facilities, production sites close to each other with minimal human presence, low traffic and optimal production processes;
  • on the second level - engineering communications (electricity, water, wastewater, sewage, heating and ventilation);
  • on the third level - administrative, managerial, public, social facilities and recreational areas with the greatest safety for human visitation;
  • on the fourth level - an anthropogenic environment, close to the natural one, with a large number of trees, green areas, water bodies, which will be partially isolated from the other levels.

Such construction of the production sphere and communication links makes it possible to create a compact, efficient, and safe multilevel urban system.

The usefulness and effectiveness of such an urban infrastructure system embodying innovative ideas is quite obvious for the territory of Bahrain Island, and the prospect of its use has economic and social grounds. The Kingdom of Bahrain is a sovereign island state in the Persian Gulf, located on a small archipelago of 51 natural and 33 artificial islands centered around Bahrain Island. Bahrain has a developed oil and gas economy, which has determined decades of investment in the banking and tourism sectors. The country supports shipbuilding and aluminum production, especially intensive urban construction and a promising electricity sector, including renewable energy sources. Many of the world's largest financial institutions are located in the capital. Bahrain has a very high human development index and is recognized by the World Bank as a high-income country. The Kingdom is a member of the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Technical solutions used in the infrastructural concept of urban area development, have the prospect of use in different countries around the world, which determines the need to patent inventions in dozens of countries, including using the PCT system.
