Traffic for Sеx-Shops. Big Case Study

Hello everyone Here’s the long-awaited sеx shop case-study. No foreplay, let’s get straight to the point!

LET'S START WITH THE FUNNELS:

1. Website conversion

Here everything is the same as usual, the objective is Leads. If the site passes the moderation, then we install the pixel on the website itself. If not then we drive the traffic either through a pad or cloaca (I advise using cloaca, in this case traffic is not lost) and install the pixel on the "Thank you" page.

+ The pros of this funnel - your client doesn't need to handle Leads, they make the purchase themselves.

- The cons of this funnel - Leads can't be processed in any way, so the price of a Lead is much more expensive than it could be.

There are some sеx shop sites where you can request feedback from a manager who will call your Lead and squeeze it out for a sale, but not all Leads are willing to do this, many still want to remain anonymous.

2. Instagram DMs

This objectives works great if the IG profile is well 'packaged' and if there is a person in the who is ready to handle clients.

In the creatives you need to use a CTA to send a message. For example: 'Text us "discount" and get a 10% OFF for your first order.'

Offer like this works very well, but only if the person who processes the messages knows how to push sales. If there is no such person, then it is important to eexplain to your client that advertising will not be as effective and more than half of the leads will be lost.

3. Telegram channels

Throughout my entire experience (almost 3 years in grey niches) I had only 2 clients who placed their goods in TG. If FB complains we use either a pad, or cloaca.

Make sure to make the channel private! This way conversion into subscribers is higher, and therefore conversion to sales is also higher. It is also important to include a link to the manager under posts in in bio, so Leads can get advice on goods or place an order.

This is all you need to know about funnels, let's move forward!

Audiences:

For CIS I use broad audience, 21-45, M & F

For Europe I use also broad audiences. However, it is worth to try separating audiences by gender during the testing stage, results may vary significantly! Age 21-55. Surprisingly, there are a lot of orders from people 40+.

For the US I used both the broad and narrow audiences. The narrowing on men and narrowing on individual states worked best. Age is also 21+. You can also try narrowing by LGBT interest.

Placements:

CIS - IG feed/stories/reels. The most important thing here is to choose the right format for creatives so that they do not go anywhere and your offer is readable.

Europe - IG feed/stories/reels, FB feed

USA - FB feed, stories, reels. You can try IG during testing period, results vary significantly, and so far I wasn't able to define the reason idk

Ad Creatives (scroll):

This types of creatives have really good CTRs:

Landing pages:

Examples of good websites for promotion:
https://www.eis.de
http://www.ixi.store/en/erotic-toys/icatalog-1/
https://erotikland.de

Easy navigation, convenient menu, shopping cart.

Examples of good IG accounts for promotion (scroll):

Properly arranged feed, easy to navigate, there are contacts for communication.

Cost per Lead / Cost per Purchase (CPP)*:

CIS: Leads are about $1. CPP $10-15
Europe: Lead is between $2-5. CPP $20-40.
USA: CPP can be from $30 up to 150$.

It is important to remember that these numbers are NOT universal! They will vary depending on the website/IG page, country, and of course the person who processes Leads, if you direct traffic to shop's inbox! The cost per purchase is the subject of testing, take about 7-10 days, measure your results and review them with your client! But always remember: test it, test it, and again TEST IT!
