How I visited the Vatican
A few years ago, I made a trip to Rome with my wife. We were expecting an all-inclusive trip to Italy; however, what we got instead was a trip to one of the most fascinating cities in the world - Rome. In addition to being the center of Catholic worship for the Roman Catholic Church, Rome is also the home of some of the best museums in the world. The combination of these two attractions is a sight that is hard to miss. In fact, on our first trip, we decided to include a few of the attractions we had missed on our initial trip to Rome.
During my trip, I really liked the Vatican, and in particular the excursion around it, which I ordered on excurzilla.com. And thanks to the car rental service bookingauto.com, where I took a car at a very good price throughout Europe, in addition to the Vatican, I explored a lot of different places, of which there are many in Rome.
After a rather uneventful flight from Rome's Fiumicino Airport, we set out to see some of the museums and monuments first. We found out that St. Peter's Basilica was built centuries ago during the reign of Tiberius, as was the Colosseum. We also visited the Vatican Museum, the Pantheon, the Piazza del Popolo, and the Capuchin Cemetery. All told, this was a trip well worth the time and effort. While it may have been difficult to leave the airport, we at least had a guide to help us get around Rome. This alone made the trip well worth the time and effort.
We were very fortunate to find a luxury hotel in Rome that was located just steps from all the major tourist attractions. We found ourselves drawn into this stylish hotel as soon as we took our first room. The staff was very helpful and courteous, and even gave us the inside scoop on the best attractions to see during our trip. The price of the hotel accommodation was extremely reasonable, especially when compared to most hotels in Rome.
Other excellent hotels in Rome include the Hilton Rome, Via Monti, Turin Palace Hotel, and the Studion Sanitaire. All of these hotels offered excellent customer service, with excellent views of the city. These stylish and well-appointed hotels are truly a treat for anyone who wants to enjoy wonderful sights and unique experiences while in Rome.
Of course, while we were staying at these luxury hotels, we still wanted to experience the wonderful Rome attractions on our own - and that's where we found the best deals for our Vatican hotel accommodation. We enjoyed daily tours of the grounds by the Vatican Gardens, the Roman Forum, and the Arnoi Pier. We walked through the Museums and down the colonnades. In fact, it was the shopping around here that really caught our attention. You'll find amazing bargains everywhere, from designer boutiques to expensive little shops selling everything from perfume to souvenirs.
What we ended up finding out was that it wasn't just about how we got to the Vatican. It was how we ended up staying there that made the trip so memorable. Staying at a top quality hotel accommodation can be an extremely enjoyable and exciting holiday. Our experience in Rome taught us that by staying at one of the great hotel properties, it didn't matter where we went - because we would always be treated to the best service and the best views.
