Caught on camera: Mom holds peeping Tom suspect at gunpoint

Heather Faris, a mother from Mandan, North Dakota, is seeking justice after she caught a registered sex offender on her roof in January. Her 10-year-old son saw the man outside his second-story bedroom window, and Faris immediately took action to protect her family. Surveillance footage from her home shows Faris holding the suspect, identified as Christopher Morrison, at gunpoint in her driveway.

Faris' son was the first to spot the peeping Tom. He grabbed his mother's arms and told her that he had seen the man's eyes. After calling the police, Faris held Morrison at gunpoint for 11 minutes until law enforcement arrived.

Morrison was initially arrested and charged with criminal mischief for damaging a camper. However, the window-peeping allegation surfaced later. Faris complained that the police did not arrest Morrison immediately and that they would not have arrested him that night had he not checked in at Centre Inc. According to Faris, Morrison had a warrant out for his arrest, or the police would have given him a trespass warning.

The Mandan Police Department has reopened the case and assigned an investigator to the case to make sure that they didn't miss anything. The police department is planning to interview Faris' son and is waiting on 911 dispatch records. It remains unclear if additional charges will be filed against Morrison, but the police department has promised to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations. Faris hopes that justice will be served and that her family will be able to move on from this traumatic experience.

Peeping or voyeurism is a form of sexual deviance, which involves observing someone who is unaware of being watched, usually for sexual gratification. It is a serious issue that can cause emotional distress and harm to the victim. In the United States, the act of peeping is considered a crime, and those found guilty can face legal consequences.
