UK favorite sports: 6-10 ranking

We continue with the ranking of popular and beloved sports in the United Kingdom. In the previous post, we noted the top five, but the British are a sports nation and their preferences are not limited to that.
Sport plays an important role in promoting integration and nurturing talent in the country. The country is home to several of the most popular sports around the world - football, rugby, cricket, golf, tennis and others. Sport is a major source of entertainment in the UK with thousands of spectators filling stadiums and arenas to entertain their favorite teams. Here's what the 10-6 place ranking looks like:

10. Boxing The evolution of modern boxing is attributed to Britain, with the country playing an important role in the codification of Queensberry rules in the 19th century. Professional boxing in the UK offers some of the biggest wallets of elite professional boxers who become instant celebrities in the country. Professional boxing is managed by the British Board of Control, while amateur boxing is managed separately by authorities in each country. Boxing in the UK is recovering from a decline caused by the growth of other sports, such as football, which offers better incomes than is traditionally available to world boxing champions. British boxers are enjoying great success internationally, especially at the 2012 London Olympics.

9. Horse racing Britain has a long history of horse racing, dating back to Roman times and has a deep royal history. There are many races across the UK with an annual attendance of around 6 million people who watch over 13,000 races. The sport is among the top five sports in the UK in terms of media coverage. There are two forms of horse racing in the UK - National Hunt and Flat Racing. The national hunt takes place in the winter and involves jumping over obstacles. In the UK, the sport is run by the British Horseracing Authority, while in Northern Ireland it is run by Horse Racing Ireland.

8. Tennis The history of tennis in Britain dates back hundreds of years. The most prestigious tennis event in the UK (and in the world!) Is the Wimbledon Championships. The championship is one of four big straws, with others being the French team (Roland-Garros), the US Open and the Australian Open. Although tennis is an individual sport, it is the third most popular sport in the UK, attracting sports fans, tourists and critics around the world. Tennis in the United Kingdom is governed by the Tennis Association. The body invests most of the profits from tournaments in the game in the hope of producing world champions. Britain is supplying some of the best tennis players in the history of the game, including Greg Rusedski, Tim Henman, Andy Murray, Anne Keota Wong.

7. Swimming The United Kingdom has suitable facilities for training swimmers of all abilities.
Swimming is one of the biggest sports in England by participation. He is even bigger than athletics according to Sports England (2014). Young people love and fanatize swimming with the majority, who participate in several swimming events just for fun. British Swimming, a unifying body set up by a swimming organization in various countries of the United Kingdom, is responsible for the management and promotion of the sport in the UK. The United Kingdom has sent a major presentation to international swimming events and continues to enjoy great success at events such as the Olympic Games and the British Community Games. There are also club competitions at all levels across the UK that identify and nurture swimming talents in all ages.

6. Bat-and-balo-running Rounders, also known as bat-and-balo-running, have been played in England since Tudor's time. It is popular with British and Irish students. In the United Kingdom, competitors are regulated by Rounders England. Games played in England include smaller bats and balls and are often played on smaller pitches than games in Ireland, which are run by the Gallic Athletics Association. Rounders is popular mainly in England, while it is rarely played in other British countries. But the sport is gaining more and more popularity and recognition as one of the most important sports in the country due to the inter-school and regional competitions that take place in the United Kingdom.
