How to avoid SPAM on your Shopify store
I know that you lose a lot if your emails are moved to the spam folder. I’ve just prepared some simple methods that really work to fix it.
First, I’d recommend checking where your emails move. I use www.mailgenius.com, but there are a lot of different solutions.
So, let’s start from easiest to hardest ways
1) Add a TXT record to your DNS of the domain
TYPE: TXT
NAME: @
CONTENT: =spf1 include:shops.shopify.com ~all
2) Build a stronger reputation of your email account using Mailwarm (www.mailwarm.com). It’s the greatest tool that builds real interactions with your email. It helps raise your reputation and avoid a spam folder.
3) Setup a CAPTCHA to your Shopify store. I guess you know when low-quality traffic from nowhere tries to make a purchase or leave a message in contract form.
4) Check your deliverability metrics.
Open rate (>15%)
Click rate (>1.5%)
Bounce rate (<0.8%)
If your metrics show a bad result try to change content and launch the A/B test to see what emails customers open better.
5) Use a dedicated domain. If you have a lot of customer emails you should use a dedicated domain. You will win in long distance.
