In Portugal small agricultural producers sometimes receive β¬0.18 for a kg while it is sold in big supermarkets for β¬3,45.
Big supermarkets chains use all anti-trust schemes and other methods to force small agricultural producers to sell their products for a bargain.
Many of the products sold at a price 14 times higher don't even need any transformation, and are sold at those prices just with the cost to transport them!
