The invasion of Panama was sponsored by the US to remove general Manuel Noriega, which was pushing for several policies that the empire started to dislike. He had been previously backed by them when he was a good lackey.
In the modern television era, it is made almost entirely with real footage that will blow your mind.
It's an Oscar winning film from 1992 just 3 years after the invasion, and in my opinion it can be considered an historical document.
