VLESS - Linux

This guide will help you install and configure Nekoray (Nekobox) to use Liberty VPN on most Linux systems.

⚠️ Note: Nekoray does not work on Fedora, as the system blocks required TCP traffic.
If you're on Fedora, please switch to another Linux distro or contact support for a refund.

Go to the official release page:

Download the appropriate version for your system:

  • .deb (for Debian/Ubuntu-based distros)
  • .AppImage (universal format)
  • Source code (if you prefer building manually)

If you’re using the .AppImage version:

  • You may need additional dependencies like Fuse
  • Open a terminal in the folder with the AppImage and run:./[filename].AppImage
  • If anything is missing, the terminal will tell you what to install

Adding your VLESS key

- Copy your VLESS key from the bot (starts with proxyliberty:// or the same)

- Launch Nekoray

- In the top-left menu, click Program → Add profile from clipboard

(shot 1)

- A popup will appear — choose "As Subscription (add to this group)"

You should now see a list of available server locations.

(shot 2)

  • You may be prompted for your system password (root access required)

(shot 3)
