Environmental and International Criticism of Wal-Mart - Is it Founded

In many regards Wal-Mart Corporation is a symbol of America throughout the world, just like McDonalds. It is also a natural statement of abundance, due to the huge number of SKUs that are available within the stores. Walmart app for associates Whereas, in the US we think of Wal-Mart as the lower end retail outlet, we also realize that it is part of the distribution of America, and we are lucky to have it.

Sometimes, people in the US decry Wal-Mart, and the unions are not too happy with it because they'd like to see Wal-Mart buy more US products for their stores, but for the most part all the people who shop there are pretty happy, and they do provide a huge number of lower end jobs that this country desperately needs. Obviously, no matter what people say about Wal-Mart it is highly successful, and people shop there, as they are voting with their dollar.

Not long ago, an acquaintance from another country in South America was making detracting remarks about the United States and he stated in a fit of rage; "Ask Wal-Mart store's owner. He was asked "what do you think about the world crisis? " and he answered "what crisis? " It's simple, while his stores were losing money in the US, his new stores in China, India, Brazil, Argentina, (if he could, even in Cuba, as so many Spaniards have done) made up for it. He did not feel it. "

It appears that he didn't know much about Wal-Mart or how it worked at all because today it is not run by one man, as it was when Sam Walton was alive, today it is a huge international corporation. For anyone that feels the same way as this gentleman, who seems to be upset with America, but also seems to believe that Wal-Mart is somehow a culprit, and deserving of his anti-American sentiment; I would recommend that they read Sam Walton's book; "Made in America" before passing judgment.

I would also recommend that they would consider the total efficiency of Wal-Mart, and if governments ran that way, and we could franchise such a model, everyone on earth would be a lot happier and have a better standard of living. There is nothing wrong with Wal-Mart. I would also like to remind everyone that Wal-Mart Corporation has not lost money in any quarter in the last 25-years. Let's not allow those with anti-American sentiment to spread false statements about any American Corporation.

Further, when Wal-Mart originally went into Latin America, they had to deal with post-dated checks, super inflation issues of foreign currencies, and they worked with the local communities and governments to provide products to all. Please consider all this.
