Comparison between Modern Kona and Proton X50

The segment B crossover market in Malaysia is in its heyday, with car manufacturers launching new fashion products in this segment. The latest is the Kona crossover from Hyundai, a South Korean car maker. This super sports product has three decoration options, all of which are full modular units imported from Korea. Another compelling product comes from our own national car manufacturer Proton, X50. It was launched not long ago and gained a higher sales figure for the brand.

Now both of them are on the market, and it's obvious that it's hard for customers to decide which one to choose. It was for the same reason that we decided to set the two cars against each other and come up with a solution. So, let's put X50 and Kona on the scoreboard and let them compete with each other in terms of appearance, interior, performance, safety and price.

First of all, we compare the dimensions between Proton X50 and modern Kona. The specifications mentioned above indicate that the X50 is longer and higher than the new Kona and has a 10 mm high ground clearance. It doesn't look very different in the newspaper, but on the road, every millimeter is different. However, this is the leading area and Kona has gained some major points.

Then let’s compare the appearance between Proton X50 and modern Kona. In terms of modern appearance and athletic appeal, the Proton X50. They look modern and have design themes that impress young buyers. These two cars do not have these basic similarities, but have a very obvious front fascia, which one you like is subjective.

X50 is as like as two peas, and shared some clues with its older brother X70. This is a good thing because both models are appreciated for their design language. Kona, on the other hand, the brand's laminated grille and other sports inclusions give it a unique, unique look.

The standard exterior kit for the X50 includes LED projection headlamps and LED daytime running lights. Led fog lights (premium and premium), car headlamps (premium and premium), roof rail (premium) and auto sensing front wiper (flagship) are available in the above trim.

On the other hand, Hyundai Kona's standard feature suite includes halogen headlamps, rear fog lights, LED daytime running lights and an electric ORVM with auto folding. The other two are decorated with front fog lights and LED tail lights. The two-tone body color and roof rail are limited to the top turbo models.

It seems that Kona has more basic decorations to offer, however, as we move up, the external features of the ladder remain more or less constant.

So finally, we can see the difference of the interior between Proton X50 and Hyundai Kona. Proton and Hyundai have made a lot of efforts to make the X50 and Kona comfortable and convenient for both drivers and passengers. Let's take a look at what these two compact crossers offer, starting with the X50 Proton. Its standard features include a fabric interior, rear air conditioning vents, N95 cabin filters, power windows, push to start button, cruise control with speed limiter, 8-inch infotainment system with voice commands, navigation, music streaming, weather forecasting, smartphone and Bluetooth connectivity, 4G and Wi Fi, and three USB ports. The mid and mid-range premium models also include full color LCD instrument cluster, remote engine start, 6-way driver electric seat, automatic air conditioning system and proton link application that provides remote control and vehicle status.
